Exploring digital painting

Digital painting is hard.

I’ve been learning digital painting for the past few weeks. The hardest part has been blending in Procreate.

I partook in a 5-day portrait challenge, which helped me get the hang of using Procreate on the iPad. I’m pretty happy with the way this came out (in five days, no less), but seriously…blending in Procreate is so difficult.

The feature that I miss the most from Photoshop is the ability to blend on top of layers for non-destructive editing. 😕 Hopefully, Procreate will catch up.

I’m going to test out a few more brushes and see where I land. I’ll share some more progress pics in a few weeks!
